Martial arts
injuries is simply put an ufortunate,
yet almost unavoidable part of doing
any type of fighting art over a period
of time. However, this is of course in
now way unique to our arts and sports. If
you participate in physical activities
or indeed competitive sports, chances are
you will eventually encounter a set back caused by an injury or some sort
of
painful condition.

Side
note: In
addition to finding out more
about martial arts injuries
and related health issues, make
sure you have a look
at all the free stuff inside

Martial Arts Vault'!

|
The type, seriousness
and frequency of the problem/s you may encounter,
will naturally depend upon more than
one
factor.
|
|
These are (amongst
other things) the degree of physical contact
being allowed in your chosen art; your
skill level and experience; how hard and
often you train; your physical and
mental condition (strength, endurance, flexibility
and much more); your ability and willingness
to absorb and accept pain (how far you can
'push' yourself); the quality of any equipment
you may use; the quality and experience
of trainers, coaches etc; your ability and
time to restituate; your nutrition; your ability
to handle mental and physical stress;
your warm up and cool down routines; your
ability to prepare for training and/or competition;
the degree of access to health professionals
(physiotherapists, doctors etc.); how well
you know yourself; and the importance of winning
(like in continuing a fight or bout of training).

I also have found
a guide that is highly recommended if you
have trouble with this very common condition.
It's called Plantar

and you can read more about it at the foot
